| 43. The
Buddha continued teaching at the Deer Park in Sarnath. After
hearing the teachings Yasa, a young man from a wealthy family,
and his best friends left home and became monks. Later, fifty
young men from high-caste families also left their homes and
joined the community of monks to spend their lives practising
the Buddha's teachings. |
